Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport is located 18 km s southwest of Izmir City Center. It is located in Gaziemir Town. Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) inaugurated on 17 November 1987. It is easily reachable with train or public buses and taxi.

In the fourth century, Izmir rebuilt and became an important city under the reign of Alexander the Great. Then in Roman period, the city lived its golden age. In 1415, this city became a part of Ottoman Empire. Modern Izmir is a lively city with a lot of cultural activities, a rich economical life and some modern universities.
